Competing in Amateur Boxing Competition, participants must first qualify for our Amateur Boxing program. This requires advanced boxing skills and passing a rigorous fitness test: 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups non stop, and a 3-mile run in under 24 minutes or better. To maintain their position in this exclusive 10-student group, members must, within three months, be able to complete 300 repetitions of each exercise and run 3 miles in 18 minutes or less.
Our program is founded on fairness, resilience, and discipline, with no room for favoritism. Training begins with 2-hour sessions, Monday through Thursday, and intensifies to a 5-day, 3-hour per day schedule as skills advance. Competition starts at the local level with club and district tournaments within your state.
From this group, only five will advance to the Elite Traveling Team, which competes in state, regional, national, and international tournaments. This path is for serious athletes aspiring to reach the Olympics and the professional ranks. After accumulating 20 bouts, all gym fees for our traveling team members are waived.
Due to the extensive travel required, elite-level participants must be homeschooled. For fighters outside of California, training camps will be held in Arizona before major events, with housing provided. Parents should note all training locations, and fighters must be of legal age to travel unaccompanied.
Our program has a proven track record of guiding boxers to Olympic and professional success, having developed 19 champions at national, international, and world amateur levels, with three advancing to claim professional titles.
We demand an unwavering commitment to a healthy lifestyle, including maintaining a body fat percentage of 6% or lower and adhering to strict drug testing protocols. The program covers all expenses during training camps and events, secures sponsorships to ensure financial stability, and is dedicated to nurturing elite boxers with Olympic and professional aspirations.
